Donna Taylor, MEd., President and Founder Donna is a trained Montessori teacher with a Masters of Education in Early Childhood Education. She holds a Connecticut State teaching credential for grades K6, and has a total of 23 years of teaching experience. She has owned and operated a pre-school and run a day care center for the Methodist Church in New Mexico for infants, toddlers and preschoolers, and with her friend Gayle (another Montessori teacher), completely reconfigured the infant/toddler/preschool facility at New Mexico Highlands University’s Early Childhood Center. With her husband Bill, Donna has been teaching Natural Family Planning with Couple to Couple League for 31 years (www.ccli.org). It was their breastfeeding experience with their first two children 32 years ago that got them interested in the return of fertility after childbirth and led to Bill’s getting a PhD in the subject (he is a Biomedical Engineer). For eight years during the 90’s, Donna and Bill collaborated in research with breastfeeding women all over the U.S. and in Cameroon, Africa, sponsored by the National Institutes of Health. Donna moved to Connecticut in 2004 with her husband and the youngest of their four children, daughter Maryclare. Originally from New Jersey, Donna and her family lived 12 years in California, her husband’s home state. They then lived in New Mexico for another 12 years before settling in Connecticut. The family has a shy, gray cat named Io. |
